Mommy Birthday Party Project : Sofia's 1st Birthday Party

After about 3 months of planning and conceptualizing, Sofia's special day finally came. I got the same feeling about it during our wedding day... I was truly excited for it at the same time I wanted to get it over with! Hahaha! This was far more challenging than Henri's 1st Barnyard Party mainly because the venue was out of town and it was in a ballroom (more space to fill!). It took me a whole album of pegs to come up with the perfect concept (Shabby Chic Afternoon Tea Party). I'm happy that I was able to execute 90% of the ideas! Enjoy! :)

Do-It-Yourself Entrance Stand : I had the words SOFIA made (I found a supplier for this) and we painted it white to go with the actual stand. My foreman Henri made the stand for me (just a few pieces of wood put together).

Various Fabric (from Divisoria also) put together to serve as a nice dainty shabby chic confetti

Hat Station where you can pick your own hat. I made the chalkboard using plywood and chalkboard spray paint (from Michael's Craftstore in the US but I'm sure they have it here already!)

Hats from Divisoria mall and greenhills

One of her giveaways! Personalized Hand Sanitizers from Partystarters as well.

Her other giveaway - Personalized Pink Umbrellas (see wooden umbrella stand which foreman/in-house handyman Henri also made)

Flower centerpieces with my "Sip, don't slurp." table signs

Passion Cooks Catering for the food. They didn't disappoint. We had quiches, beef kabobs, pomodoro pasta, chicken with blue cheese and fresh fruit crepes with ice cream for dessert.

The best host ever! Sugus has been hosting our family parties since we were kids. He actually hosted my sister's 7th birthday and Debut, my brother's 1st and 7th Birthday. Blast from the past!

The Birthday Family :)

It was clearly a success because all the guests had a wonderful and memorable time. And I think I found a second career...as a party stylist maybe? :)

Have a lovely day! Tata!
