MOMMY PROJECT : Details of Henri's First Barnyard Birthday Bash

I was up at 6:30 am and immediately I thought, "Oh no! It's gloomy outside!". It wasn't raining yet but the clouds were rather gray as if telling me that I shouldn't expect the weather to get much better. Well, true enough the sun didn't come out and the rain even poured during the peak of your party (3:30-ish) but aside from the weather which completely sucked... your party was rocking AWESOME! :) I want to look at the bright side and be thankful that a lot of people (t almost 90% attendance from our guestlist!) made it and celebrated your special day with you! :) Here's a rundown of the whole event. Ofcourse I want a complete documentation of my first major "project" for you. As I always say, it's all the DETAILS...the little things (handmade decorations, well-thought of concepts, etc.) ...that make the party extra special :)

PROJECT : BARNYARD BIRTHDAY PARTY
DATE : August 8, 2010 , Sunday
VENUE : Coconut St. Valle Verde 4 Residence
TIME : 2:00 pm onwards
THEME : Farm/Barn Party

7:30 am - Empty Lanai except for the tents set-up in the garden area

10:30 am - Buffet area and the Tables and Chairs set-up for kids and adults are done

Small straw hats for the kids instead of regular party hats (Ninang Addie and I bought these in Divi!)

11:00 am - The balloon columns and other loose balloons were already in place (thank you Party Perks!), that's the tarpaulin I had printed

Tattoo Station and Coloring Station for the kids - I printed out a Farm Scene Coloring Page for the kids to color

Face/Body Painting Booth (the girl in pink is the artist)

Table Centerpiece for the adults : Straw Hats, Cowprint  Table Liner (Ninang Ads made it!) and Bucket with peanuts to serve as snack too! :) Brilliant idea, isn't it?

The photobooth that everyone was crazy about! (Thank you Fotolove!)

Prizes wrapped in paper (go green movement!)...and some chocolates!

Cotton Candy, French Fries, Taho Food Cart
The Original UP fishballs (fishballs, chicken balls, kikiam, squidballs and fried quail egg) stand. Their sauce is super authentic~ Filipino street food at its finest

The Jimini Pizza Cart - this was Lola Josie's gift to you! Thank you for this wonderful treat!

So if you think it's as easy as ABC to plan a birthday party on your own...think again :) It involves a lot of brainstorming, creativity and time but in the end when you see all your guests especially the kids having a great time...it's worth all the sweat and stress!

Note : I'll be posting the highlights of the actual party in my next blog entry.
